Book night Empty
PostSubject: Book night   Book night EmptySun Jan 04, 2009 4:57 am

There's been a fair amount of talk to do some books or chapters together from time to time yet next to nothing has been done. Perhaps we should do like Mandegar with his old kinship where they had a book night. A single night in week when those of us who wish gather together to advance some book. Of course the book and chapters has to be decided when people are present.

Having multiple alts gives me the advantage to be on many books at once so I can choose which alt to bring along.

Since Sunday seems to be good night for gatherings, or at least it has been, I think it should be ruled out and left for RP events and such.

I propose Wednesday around 17 gmt starting next Wednesday.

book nights/days always proved very sucessful. One thing we did do was offer assistance to all kin with specific books or chapters they were on.

A sort of provide assistance and a insta-fellowship with all kin members.

Theres nothing like doing the Epics with just your own kin members in the fellowship, it builds on teamwork and comradery, two things vital for bigger quests (rift etc)

As you know im one of the maniacs with 40 alts (ok 7 chars) so im up for assisting in any book with any class required.

Might be an idea if people jotted down what books & chapter they are on for each char. I would be willing to redo any chapter or entire book to just help out (I love my epic books)

Mandolas > Book 13 Ch9
Mandoo > Book 10 ch14
Mandegar Book 5
Bawheid Book 3
Mandergar Book 2
Mandooin book 1

Wednesdays sound fine or weekend whatever Id be pushed ot hit the 1700gmt deadline, i dont finish work till 1630 (officially) but its usually more like 18:30-20:00! lol but due to us doing the books my timing isnt life or death and can join as soon as im in.

As a rule of thumb we put upper limit as orange to the lowest quester, that way its still a bit of a challenge.

Great idea! Smile I'd love to get going with the epic quests again. Have 4 alts to join with (2 low lvl when Eo's on and 2 high ones when he isn't) so I might be able to be of some assistance.

Eldra - book 1
Rimwyn - book 2
Eldraen - book 8 (I think)
Heredryn - book 12

I can help out on both Leo and Fae, on leo I didn't intend to do any books but I can use him to help out, on Fae I have all of Vol1 done except the very last chapter (which is insanely hard, or was when I last tried it) and i think im on book 3 of vol2, so im willing to help out on anything up to book 3 of vol 2. (unless I get farther by wednesday which is pretty likely actually)

I think that those of us who wish to and can participate first book night tonight gather later than my first suggestion. Let's say around 19 gmt. No particular place, let's just see where this leads.

And here's a list of my current books in format volume.book.chapter:

Hambrand: 1.4.5, 1.6.4
Kaylenn: 1.2.3, 1.4.2
Humphert: 1.12.3, 2.5.5
Punyard: 1.10.3, 2.2.foreword

But as (almost) always, I'm good for anything.

Happy to join if there is use for a LM 55 who has finished almost all volume 1 books (will redo any of them, if that does not spoil the fun for some lower levels). I prefered to do the epic quests with people having the 'right' level for it, so there is some excitement and maybe a wipe, not just an 'oh, ok, that's it?' anticlimax.
Working myself on Book 2 of Volume 2 (or so) and Book 15 volume 1.
See you.

Bah, we never get you outta Ettens, no matter what... scratch

We had tons of fun today though, first Denholm, Punyard, Leohthwae, Mandolas and two randoms went through the whole of Fornost and took all bosses down, and laters Elais, Denholm, Therenold (or whatever his name is, I cant remember, Nemsyn's bro' anyhow ;D) and Heredryn RP.ed their way through the Great Barrow...Mandegar joined up for a while but had to go due to somr IRL issues. We will probably continue the battle of the Great Barrow tomorrow and take down the shadow within! Feel free to join up, and let it be a nice Kin event!

I also have some unfinished business with the books, I need to visit Imladris to start book 4, but I guess I'm too low (currently 36) for the book. If you can help me do it, I'll be very grateful.
