Kin Meeting Empty
PostSubject: Kin Meeting   Kin Meeting EmptySun May 17, 2009 11:24 pm

Friday 22nd May 2009 at 19:00 GMT to be held in the kin hall.

It has been suggested we have a party for new recruits and recent members so they can tell why they joined us and possibly some tales of their deeds.

We also need to discuss the leadership of the kin and successor.

Hello, new recruit here-Turuviel snipered me off of the official forums *smiles*
I'll hopefully get something written introduction wise over next two days, as sadly I will not be able to make friday's meeting, but I am free all weekend so feel free to track me down... Smile

Hail Yennaidh and weell-met,

Too bad you couldn't show up on Friday, for this gathering is mainly for new recruits to introduce themselves and get to know other members.

Hopefully I'll see you during the weekend and maybe Turu can show up and we can do some RP together.

take care Smile

Sadly we were short of recruits but we did have a discussion about the leadership of The GC. I put my self forward to be the High Seat and after due consideration by those attending was chosen to be your new leader. I sincerely hope that I will make you proud and together we can go forth ensuring our forest homes and the spirits that reside there are safe and protected.

We are, at the moment, a kin made up of mainly elves and men (only 2 little peeps) and following the discussion I chose to make Angharat (be careful not to upset her puss cat Laughing) my successor. I do intend to arrange regular meets of the kin and would like to find out when you can attend so we can all get to know each other.

On another matter I have removed from the kin all those that have been absent for over 90 days though I have mailed them all to tell them this so we might have some rejoining us.

I have also promoted our recruits to full members and would remind them of our sacred vow to protect the forests from those that would harm it.

I would like to welcome back to the kin Lord Humphert a former elder of The GC and guardian who thinks tactically ( I feel safer already Smile ).

Congratulations Asurawyn I think you will make a fine choice as kin leader. Congratulations too to Angharat - the kin is in safe hands.

And welcome back Humphert - what a fine day for the Glade Council Smile

Nice to see the glade flourishing once more, probably down to the removal of the cancerous rot of Falli, but hey no matter when I do come back from my exam duties you wont have to worryabout it again, as I doubt I would even ask to rejoin, as I have a spectacular talent to cock things up... anywho, wish you the best of luck in your ventures and I hope the glade will continue to flourish despite my arrival to be. If for some reason you still want to contact me, you know how.

We got a bit lazy.. me included -cursed shedule of 12h+/day at work Very Happy Should we continue setting some regular meetings? At least one 2 weeks? We were not many at meetings but for sure more than random. I'd do my best to be there, already missing some RP Very Happy I think only Bela and Asura I happen to be online same time with in last 2 weeks..

I would suggest not Saturdays or the other "parity" than 13 and 27 this month as at least 3-4 of us have also chars in Riders of the Riddermark and they have the kin meetings once at 2 weeks in those Saturdays.

Maybe even starting to organize some events? ;Wink Brainstorming?

LATER EDIT: cursed my long posts no one reads to the end Embarassed But I'll try to go to the Riders meeting on one date and to TGC meeting on the other if this days are good for all the rest but our half-Riders Very Happy

I'm on for both dates (13th and 27th) in the mornings or nights (something around 1900 GMT). Unfortunately I got a bit lazy myself, preparing so many presentations for the university and meeting colleagues to work on them together bounce I'm bored.

This is why Palantirr is still level 29, fighting his way in the North Downs. Planning to stay there till I hit 30-31 then tracking my steps back to Garth Agarwen to put down some Darkness into eternal sleep Smile

Hope to see you soon!

One small problem, is that Garth Agarwen is seldom done these days, as it is surprisingly long for a low level instance, and few can be bothered, but I wish you the best of luck with your task.

But it's still an interesting instance Smile You need any help just send a tell to Heredryn/Eldraen/Eldra or even Rimwyn and I'll come to aid in those dark dungeons! (or for anything else if anyone needs help)

Funny that you say that, Falli my friend Smile As I was questing in the Lone Lands there was always at least one group of players asking for one or two extra people for the GA quests... all of them. Some high levels even join to get their deeds done (exploration...etc).

Anyways, I'm sure when arranged properly several Glade members would be happy to pay GA the Red Maiden a visit Wink You're also welcome, you know!

I will try to set summat up for those kin that want to take on GA (my alt needs to go). I was a bit saddened that the bk2 was lacking in participants last Saturday but would be nice to make sure the monsters in there die a real nasty death Very Happy

So... when we try to meet to play a bit with this? Smile Smile Smile I was lazy and am still at some lvl 23-24 but I don't mind RPing from the back of the higher lvl chars. More time for long emotes for me Smile

I can make it -and gladly would Smile - probably any evening this WE and next week. But if nothing planed I might be on Dri or Ileen if the have company rather than solo Turu OOCly.. So let's plan! Who prefers what days/hours?
